Working as a sole entrepreneur, freelance interpreter and translator for English, German, Dutch and Croatian. I have gained extensive experience in interpreting at management and supervisory board meetings in companies and banks, as well as translating for the public and private markets in Slovenia, and regularly interpreting at European Parliament sessions and European Commission and EU Council meetings.

Worked as a teaching assistant at the MA (previously specialist) course in conference interpreting offered by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana, and held a course in interpreting for translators employed at various Government ministries preparing for Slovenia’s EU Council Presidency.
2003 – 2005
Employed at the Translation and Editing Service at the Secretary-General’s Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia as interpreter and translator, where I translated various addresses, agreements and public releases, interpreted high-level protocol talks, technical negotiations, and training of expert staff.

Graduated as MPhil in Modern English Language at the University of Ljubljana with the thesis Methodological Approaches to Interpreter Training.
Accredited as a freelance interpreter in European Institutions.
Completed a postgraduate Specialist Course for Conference Interpreters at the University of Ljubljana.
Graduated in English and German languages and translation at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana with the theses Dictionary of Slovene-English False Friends (letters D, U), and Dubbing and/or Subtitling.
I have also undertaken continuous further professional education and training at the Universities of Bradford (UK), Graz (AU), Germersheim (DE), Würzburg (DE), Utrecht (NL), Nijenrode (NL) and Zadar (CRO), as well as attended traineeship programmes offered by European Institutions.
