2005 - 2010 | A teaching assistant at the MA course in conference interpreting offered by the Faculty of Arts (University of Ljubljana), and held a course in interpreting for translators employed at various Government ministries preparing for Slovenia’s EU Council Presidency. |
2003 - 2005 | Employed at the Translation and Editing Service at the Secretary-General’s Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia as interpreter and translator. |
1998 - 2001 | Part-time work as a translator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. |
since 2002 | Part-time work as a subtitler for Discovery, Animal Planet and History. |
2001 - 2002 | Taught an English course for adult learners at the Public Education and Training Institution in Kranj. |
1996 - 2001 | Part-time work as a subtitler at POP TV and A Kanal commercial TV stations. |
Education and Training
January 2005 | Postgraduate degree in Modern English Language at the University of Ljubljana with the thesis Methodological Approaches to Interpreter Training. |

July 2002 | Completed a postgraduate Specialist Course for Conference Interpreters at the University of Ljubljana. |
September 1999 | Graduated in English and German languages and translation at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana with the theses Dictionary of Slovene-English False Friends (letters D, U), and Dubbing and/or Subtitling. |
I have also undertaken continuous further professional education and training at the Universities of Bradford (UK), Graz (AU), Germersheim (DE), Würzburg (DE), Utrecht (NL), Nijenrode (NL) and Zadar (CRO), as well as attended traineeship programmes and refresher courses offered by European Institutions.
